The West Course has hosted six U.S. Opens and one PGA Championship. The East Course has hosted two of the Women’s U.S. Opens and one U.S. Senior Open. Winged Foot is admired around the world as one of the world’s greatest Golf Clubs. It has been continuously ranked in the 100 Greatest Golf Courses in History by Golf Digest since 1966.  In 2020 , Bryson DeChambeau won the U.S. Open at Winged Foot- the only competitor to finish under par in his six-shot victory.
