Built in 1993, our course is a par-72, 18-hole course designed by one of golf’s premier architects, Tom Fazio. Selected as one of the top 10 Golf Courses in the nation by Golf Magazine in 1995, The Champions Club at Summerfield was also awarded the Audubon Signature Sanctuary Statuary because of its natural beauty. You will enjoy diverse Florida wildlife and nature as you drive along the beautiful Atlantic Ridge Preserve State Park that borders the course. In true Fazio fashion, there are plenty of bunkers, 54 of them in the fairways and around the greens complexes, and they are usually pretty deep. There are some forced carries off the back tees, but the forward tees are set to avoid that trouble. The par-3 holes at The Champions Club at Summerfield are particularly strong with many of the tee shots playing over marshland. On the rest of the holes, golfers enjoy hitting into generous, rolling fairways. The large, well-maintained greens have plenty of undulation, but aren't overly difficult.
